Orange Lily - 8" x 10" colored pencil

Here's another colored pencil. I'm really liking how vibrant you can get the colors with this medium. I just wish the computer monitor could show it as vibrant as it is in real life.
ENJOY!

Pink Lily - 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" ACEO colored pencil

I've been experimenting with colored pencil here lately. They are a lot different than painting. It's like the opposite. What I mean by this is that in painting you can add highlights on top of darks, but with colored pencil you have to leave the lights(white of paper) to show through for the highlight.
ENJOY!
Hershey Kiss - 7" x 5" graphite pencil
(click here to bid) or to check other auctions.
I've visited this subject before in a painting. I thought I would give it a shot with pencil. I didn't realize how challenging the highlights on the foil would be.

Woman in Sunlight - 8" x 10" graphite pencil

This one was kind of different for me. I did this one from a photo that was taken on a very sunny day. The "whites" were washed out from the sun so there weren't any details shown. It's kind of neat when you leave the details out your eye fills in the blanks. You think you see details that aren't really there.
ENJOY!

Silver, Apples, and Oranges 3 1/2" x 21/2" oil

It's been a while since I've done one of these mini (ACEO size 3 1/2" x 2 1/2") paintings. I really enjoy doing them. What's really cool is that if you look close you can see brush strokes similar to a larger painting but they are just a lot smaller. Actually these paintings take just about as long as some of the larger ones I do. You just use really small brushes. I've included an image with a penny next to the painting to show the size.
Enjoy!

Book in Candle Light - 10" x 8" pencil
(click here to bid) or to check other auctions.
This is a composition that I've painted before. These items are a collection of antiques I picked up a while ago. I really like the effect the pencil has on it. With the black and white look of the graphite the drawing almost takes on an antique look.
Enjoy!
