We took a trip to a state park here in Tennessee named Fall Creek Falls. Here is one of the scenes from the trip. We were climbing down to the base of one of the waterfalls and when we stopped to take a break I looked up and saw this. I really liked the way the sun was being filtered through the leaves. Enjoy!

My wife has several of thes ceramic pedestals around the house. I've been wanting to incorporate one into a painting for a while. I finally decided to do one. Here I created a dramatic compsition of light against dark. Enjoy!

This is the first painting I've got a chance to do since relocating to Tennessee. We put a bird feeder in the back yard. We hung it on an iron shepards hook. Right away we started seeing a variety of birds. We have several blue birds that visit quite often. Here is a painting of one of them. It's sitting on the shepards hook. You can see the wooden fence in the background.

Well, we finally made it to Tennessee. We're pretty much settled in. Still have a lot of boxes to unpack but we're making good progress.
This is a painting I started before we left Indiana. I just now found time to get it posted.
In another week or so I should be back on track posting consistantly.

It's been a while since I've painted an "outside" painting. Meaning the subject of something outside and not a still life of an indoor scene. I enjoyed getting back to nature with this one. I used to paint a lot of bird and outdoor scenes. I think I'll be doing a few more of these before I get back to my still lifes. This one is done in acrylic. Enjoy.

This is a painting of an old humpty dumpty toy. It's kind of neat, you grab the yellow plastic string and pull this little guy accross the floor and he wobbles and his hands spin around. Painting toys gives me an excuse to act like a kid again because I get to play with them.

I picked up some antique marbles earlier this year. This is a painting of two of them. I like the way the image in the clear marble is reversed and upside down. The nicks and scratches in the marble add interest.
